Tell us a little bit about yourself, your business and how it all started.

I've enjoyed meeting people and chatting to them since I was a kid. Once I got older, I discovered that some of the best conversations happen with a drink in hand. Later I started freelancing as a Copywriter and Marketing consultant so it was a matter of time before I started to combine all of that into having interesting conversations over whiskey for money.

How can you tell a good whiskey? If there was one whiskey to convince non-whiskey drinkers, what would it be?

Telling a "good" whiskey has a lot to do with personal preference. But as a general rule, the longer it's been aged for - the smoother it'll be. The best place to start for people new to whiskey is either a whiskey and ginger ale or an “Old Fashioned”. If they want something neat - American whiskey is generally more accessible than most high-end scotch when you are starting out.

What is a whiskey faux pas?

When it comes to scotch, adding water or not can be a major faux pas. Many Scots will insist on drinking everything neat. Whilst many whiskey snobs insist on diluting to approximately 35% ABV to get the best taste.

What was the turning point of your business when you knew it was going to work?

I reached the point where every time I met people for a drink - they would learn something ground-breaking about their business or their life. They would tell me that. So I figured there was an opportunity there. It doesn't take much for me to confident about something working!

What’s the best part of owning your own business?

Doing something you love and being able to change that more or less whenever and however you want.

Away from work, what are your top 2 things to do for “downtime”?

I love exploring London when everybody else is in a rush and I'm not. And a mid-afternoon movie in either Swiss Cottage or Leicester Square.

If you could have 3 famous or notable people to lunch, who would they be and why?

Carl Jung because he basically created modern psychology. He's responsible for most of what we know about ourselves, the stories we tell each other and what we really want.

Richard Koch because he wrote the book The 80/20 Principle. And though he lives in Gibraltar now, he's probably the most successful consultant/investor from the UK.

Ian Fleming because we'd have a boozy lunch with plenty of stories shared.

Why did you choose Quintain Living? & how did you hear about us?

I heard about Quintain Living from Hamptons letting agents. Originally I was looking at Alameda. But I chose a 1 bedroom apartment in Repton Gardens because Lewys from Hamptons lives in the same building. That felt like a vote of confidence for me. My primary reasons for choosing Quintain Living were the quality of the apartments and the prime location in Wembley Park.

What’s been the best memory you’ve made whilst living in your apartment?

Matthew and Amma (Quintain Living Resident team) made me feel really welcome. But the sunsets have regularly been outstanding.
